New Teddington Parking Rules to Start From 5 October

# Teddington Hospital Parking Changes to Begin From October 2026 New parking arrangements will be introduced at Teddington Memorial Hospital and Teddington Health and Social Care Centre from Monday 5 October 2026. Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust says the changes are intended to improve access for patients, visitors and staff while making better use of the limited parking available across the site. The changes follow engagement with stakeholders and a review of how parking can be managed more effectively across the Teddington site. ## New Parking Charges at Teddington Health Centre The rear car park at Teddington Health and Social Care Centre will introduce parking charges from 5 October. A new pay-on-exit system will also be introduced, allowing patients and visitors to pay when they leave rather than estimating how long they will need to park when they arrive. Additional Blue Badge parking spaces will be created in the rear car park as part of the changes. Dedicated spaces will also be provided for staff who travel between sites or need to transport equipment as part of their role. The front car park at Teddington Memorial Hospital will also receive improvements ahead of the new arrangements. These improvements will include additional Blue Badge spaces and more dedicated areas for patient drop-offs. A new bike shed will also be provided at the hospital, funded by the Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital. The Trust says the changes are designed to improve access for patients and visitors attending appointments and services. They are also intended to reduce congestion at the front of the site and provide better support for staff whose roles involve travelling between locations or transporting equipment. The Trust said it recognises that parking is an important issue for patients, visitors and staff and that the changes will help make better use of the limited spaces available. The new arrangements will also increase the availability of accessible parking for people who need it most. The Trust plans to continue communicating with staff, patients, visitors, local residents and other stakeholders before the changes are introduced. For motorists visiting the Teddington site, the key change will be the introduction of parking charges and pay-on-exit parking at the rear car park from Monday 5 October 2026.
