West Wickham: Parking ban set as Thames Water announce works

Bromley Council has given notice that temporary parking restrictions will be in place in Boleyn Gardens and Copse Avenue from Monday, August 10, 2026. This is to allow Thames Water to install or disconnect a water supply to a property, according to the Public Notice Portal. The restrictions will last for up to eight consecutive days, affecting both sides of the streets. In Boleyn Gardens, the parking restriction will apply from the junction of Copse Avenue to outside property 44 Boleyn Gardens, and from the junction of Copse Avenue to outside property 29 Boleyn Gardens. In Copse Avenue, the restriction will apply from outside property 1 Copse Avenue to property 19 Copse Avenue, and from outside property 2 Copse Avenue to outside property 20 Copse Avenue. The restrictions will be in place from 8am on August 10, 2026 until 6pm on August 17, 2026. The notice states: "Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986, or by the Council in accordance with the powers conferred upon it." The restrictions will be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. The order will come into effect on Monday, August 10, 2026, and although there is no specific finish date, it is expected the works will take up to eight consecutive days to be completed. Access to properties will be maintained at all times, and emergency access and egress routes will also be maintained.
